Economic impact
Co-founded Aminata & Sons Inc. in 1983 as a retail petroleum marketing company; the firm constructed the first privately owned downstream petroleum storage depot at the Freeport of Monrovia in 2021 at an estimated cost of US$22 million. The depot holds approximately 22,000 metric tonnes of fuel, per National Port Authority of Liberia operational briefs. The company operates a network of 30 retail filling stations across Liberia and distributes fuel to industrial concessions.
