Economic impact
Co-led the acquisition of Access Bank Plc in 2002 with Herbert Wigwe and served as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer until 2013, returning as Non-Executive Chairman of Access Holdings Plc in March 2024. During his executive tenure, the bank's asset base expanded from ₦24 billion in 2002 to over ₦1.8 trillion in 2013, per Access Bank annual reports. Founded Coronation Group in 2015, an investment holding company with interests in insurance, asset management, and merchant banking. Serves as President of the Nigeria Corporate Alliance for Malaria.
