Economic impact

Founded the Antrak Group, a Ghanaian transport and logistics conglomerate with subsidiaries spanning maritime shipping, road freight, warehousing, and aviation. Antrak Ghana Limited built one of West Africa's larger indigenous cargo and logistics networks, serving major mining companies and multinationals operating in Ghana and the sub-region. The group's aviation subsidiary, Antrak Air, operated scheduled regional passenger services from Kotoka International Airport until the airline ceased operations. At the Antrak Group's operational peak, it employed several thousand Ghanaian workers across transport, warehousing, and ground-handling divisions. Banda died in June 2022 at the age of 91; the University of Education, Winneba inducted him into its Hall of Fame in recognition of his contributions to Ghanaian commerce.
