Economic impact
Founded Investment Banking & Trust Company Limited (IBTC) in Lagos in 1989 with an initial capital of ₦50 million; following mergers with Chartered Bank and Stanbic Bank Nigeria, the successor entity Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc reported total assets of approximately ₦4.1 trillion in 2023, per company annual statements. Served as Chief Executive Officer of IBTC until 2007 and Chairman of Stanbic IBTC until 2016. Founded the ANAP Foundation in 2020, which conducted national political polling throughout the 2023 general elections, representing the most widely cited independent electoral poll in Nigeria.
